Adrian & Jenny’s Wedding

Ceremony & Reception Sites…

OK, so we’re getting VERY close to the one-year mark (as in one year until our wedding date!)!

The goal this week is to get our ceremony & reception sites booked. I have filled out the form for the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center Grand Hall (pictured below–photos by Grise Photography (me)) and have been in contact with Timothy Womock who is in charge of booking at Neal-Marshall for Adrian & I to come view it before paying for it. Hopefully we’ll be able to do so this week and get it booked!

I, personally, LOVE the space and have photographed two receptions here, one of which Adrian attended. He wants to go back, though, since the last time he saw it was 2 years ago. Can’t blame him.

As for a ceremony site, we’re firm on an outdoor campus (IU) location, just not sure WHICH outdoor campus location yet. We should be able to come to a final decision by Friday though (the dreaded One Year Mark).

I’ll update as it happens!

Jenny

AWESOME!!! The Grand Hall is beautiful and those huge windows are fantastic. I love it.

The outdoor ceremony site sounds lovely, though the photos didn’t come through and I can’t find any specific to other than the Simon building on the IUB website. Don’t know why they didn’t show up on your blog … all the other photos did. Can’t wait to see photos of the site!

I really love the dressed down casual ‘garden party’ aspect of the day!! Can’t tell you how excited I am about that! NOW I can relax about shoes, or even wearing that MOTG suit, and think about something I will be more comfortable and much safer in, but definately something that matches my sparkly multi-colored cane .. er.. personality! Jonathan and Mark will also be very happy about the more casual atmosphere.

Love the eco-responsibleness of the event… and the tablecloth fabrics!!! Jenny .. so very beautiful, and then when I read that you are going to have them made into a keepsake quilt… the most wonderful idea ever!

Having Jason photograph the wedding truly delighted me, not only because I know it means a lot to Adrian, but because I haven’t seen Jason in too long. It will be a great pleasure to see him again!

Your flower girl asked me the other night if she is going to be dropping flower petals as she walks along. She’s very excited! So are we all!

It’s wonderful to be able to share each milestone in your planning, dearheart. You bring such joy to us all!
